What is a Food Co-op?

A food co-op is a non-profit, democratically run, community grocery store. It runs like a normal shop in that it is well-stocked, anyone can shop there and it is competitive to ensure its success, but that is where the similarities end...

The Community Food Co-op (CFC)
will be a not for profit retail grocery store and market selling bulk whole foods and local produce at affordable prices.  Emphasis will be on quality and source and the business will be run by an elected board of directors.

Becoming a member of the co-op will allow you access to shopping discounts and special member benefits.

The Happy Carrot Chronicle
is the newsletter of the Community Food Co-op (CFC). It is emailed/posted as a way to keep you up to date with how the CFC project is progressing.  It comes out irregularly at the moment but will be a scheduled publication in the future.
